The memorial stands as a solemn tribute to the men and women of Buckie and the surrounding district. Dedicated to the fallen of two World Wars and subsequent conflicts, it remains a focal point for remembrance.

Acknowledgements
The Board of Directors of Buckie & District Fishing Heritage Centre unanimously agreed to commission a website for the Fallen of WW1 and WW2 whose names are engraved on the War Memorial, Cluny Square, Buckie. We wish to thank the following people:
The Estate of the late Betty Willingale for contributing towards the cost of the website. Betty was a WW2 Evacuee who lived in Buckie in 1939/1940 and never forgot the kindness of the Murray Family of 1 West Street, Buckie.
Mr. David Fowler to whom we are indebted for the extensive research of the fallen on the War Memorial from WW1 and WW 2.
The Families of the Fallen who willing provided Mr. Fowler with photographs and details of their loved ones.
Mr. Chris Thornton (colourjam.com) for the creation of this website in commemoration of the Fallen.
